I have always kept notes in a variety of formats: text files, note programs, Evernote, Google Docs etc. This is an experiment in keeping notes in a blog format so that they're accessible to everyone.  Some of the posts are more like how-to articles, while others are brief collections of keyboard shortcuts and tips on how to use a program. I am also an artist.

How to preview fonts in Adobe Illustrator

Use the up or down arrow key to cycle through the fonts in the character panel. Highlight the text or select the text frame in the illustrator document. Click once on the font name in the character palette which should highlight the font name in blue. Use the up or down arrow keys to cycle through the fonts. The selected text in the document will change to the new font. Alternatively you can hover the pointer over the name of the font in the character panel, and then scroll up or down. Maximum page size for saving a PDF from Illustrator

By Chris Breier The maximum page size for saving a PDF from Illustrator is 200 inches. The maximum artboard size is 227 inches, which means that documents can be created in Illustrator that can't be saved as PDF's. If you try to save a file that is greater than 200 inches in either direction as a PDF, you will be greeted with the following error message:
